X-01 is a pre-war experimental prototype powerarmor design which was in fairly limited military field testing in the Boston area just before the war (hence the 'X' designation in the name - The X designation is typically replaced by the proper model name after the design has been finalized and standardized for mass production). There is no X-02 powerarmor model, the Great War of 2077 occurred during the X-01 testing phase and effectively ended the US military as well as it's powerarmor R&D.
